A regular eye check-up can help prevent eye health problems such as glaucoma, cataracts or AMD. In addition, during a visual examination, other diseases such as diabetes can be detected early.
How often should you schedule an eye exam?
There is no need to wait until you have specific symptoms to perform a vision test.
As a general rule, and up to the age of 25, it is recommended to do it annually since it is the period where we find the greatest changes. From then on it is recommended every 2 years.
Depending on other factors such as family history with sigth problems or environmental influence you may require revisions every 6 months or less.
